Every WHYPAY? conference room is identified by a random 8-digit Conference Room Number and can only be accessed by entering a valid Guest/Moderator PIN. WHYPAY? room numbers and corresponding PINs have an astronomical number of permutations, so you don't need to worry about an uninvited participant being able to 'guess' your conference details and gain unauthorised access to your conference.
For extra security you can change the PIN(s) for your conference room as many times as you like. All you need to do is log in to your online account, select the appropriate conference room and click on the 'Generate new PIN(s)' button. Once you confirm this action the previous PIN(s) will no longer work. Only those who have been given your new PIN will be able to access the conference room.
Need even more security?
If you'd like even more confidence in the security of your conference calls you can take advantage of the Conference lock feature (available on Plus and Pro subscription plans). This allows you to lock the conference using Moderator keypad controls. When your conference room is locked no further participants will be able to enter, even if they have your conference room number and PIN.
Data security and data protection
- Our website uses HTTPS, and therefore any data sent to and from the website cannot be intercepted by a third-party.
- Account information is held on a secure server, and your account password is encrypted.
- If you choose to record a conference call, access to any recordings is controlled by the conference room organiser.
